Jaeger-LeCoultre has been one of the leading watch manufacturers and more impressively watch movement manufacturers since the early 1900s, though their dignified roots date all the way back to 1844. Jaeger-LeCoultre or "JLC" for short, produced some of the most important movements for other manufacturers including the ultra-thin cal. 920 which went into the original Patek Philippe Nautilus, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, and Vacheron Constantin 222, which are seen today as some of the most iconic timepieces ever created. But the buck doesn't stop there as JLC created a multitude of their own extraordinary watches throughout the company's tenure as one of the leading Swiss watchmaking houses.

Simple in design, this Jaeger-LeCoultre is definitely one of the manufacturer's more rare and unknown watches, only seldomly seen come up for auction, with less than a handful known to exist in 18K rose gold. Developed in the 1950s and utilizing the JLC Cal. K480/C, this rectangular dress piece is satisfying on wrist and absolutely beautiful, featuring strong deco characteristics from the interesting case design to the double crosshair-like dial.

The lightly worn 18K rose gold case is believed to remain unpolished, displaying is original finishing with deep and crisp hallmarks. The case retains its original JLC signed winding crown. The serial number engraving on the case back remains crisp, deep and legible. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap with a rose toned buckle.
